The Department of Management and Commerce at Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology (GJIMT), Mohali, organized a Faculty Workshop on “AI in Banking and Finance” on 1 July 2026, on the occasion of Chartered Accountants Day. The workshop, aimed to enhance faculty members’ understanding of the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in the banking and financial services sector.

The workshop featured insightful sessions on AI-powered banking operations, fraud detection, credit assessment, predictive analytics, customer relationship management, regulatory technology, and the future of financial decision-making. Participants explored how AI is reshaping the financial ecosystem and creating new opportunities for teaching, research, and industry engagement.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from 32 faculty members as it was exclusively designed for the teaching staff. The workshop successfully strengthened faculty competencies in emerging financial technologies and reinforced GJIMT’s commitment to promoting academic excellence, innovation, and continuous professional development.
