GJIMT Women Empowerment Committee organized the International Day of Women and Girls in Science to promote awareness about the role of women in scientific advancement.
A total of 42 students and 6 faculty members participated in the programme. The session highlighted the inspiring contributions of eminent women scientists such as Marie Curie, KalpanaChawla, and Tessy Thomas, focusing on their achievements, dedication, and impact on society.
To encourage creativity and deeper learning, a video-making competition was announced, inviting students to prepare short videos showcasing the accomplishments of renowned women scientists. The activity motivated students to explore scientific careers and appreciate the role of women in innovation and research.
The programme successfully inspired participants to value scientific temper, gender equality, and academic excellence.
